What is ExCom

ExCom is the highest level of leadership at Lowell Makes after the Board of Directors. It is made up of the officers of Lowell Makes including the President, the Vice President, the Treasurer and the Secretary. Additionally, ExCom includes all of the Chairpersons of the other committees and the captaincy’s elected Shop Admiral. It is responsible for large-scale planning and the organization of Lowell Makes and the other Committees.

Our goals are to:

• Fulfill the Mission of Lowell Makes
• Maintain Lowell Makes’ day-to-day operations
• Set policies for the membership

ExCom Charter and Responsibilities

• Make Decisions
  • ExCom makes decisions about the day-to-day operations of Lowell Makes.
  • Issues that need attention are elevated to ExCom by Members, Captains, Committees, or Chair persons
• Guide Lowell Makes’ Growth
  • ExCom takes direction from the Board of Directors to guide Lowell Makes.
  • With guidance from the BOD, ExCom follows the Mission of Lowell Makes: “Provide an inclusive space for education, entrepreneurship, and engagement with the community of Lowell, Massachusetts, and beyond.”

ExCom has monthly meetings held on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
