Education is a value that we uphold every day through formal classes, our annual community Skill Share, and the one-on-one interactions between members. We believe in learning new things and in sharing those skills with the community. This makes Lowell Make the perfect place to learn new things, but also build new connections.
The Education Committee is focused on providing opportunities for growth and enrichment within our membership and the greater Lowell community. The Executive Committee shall delegate the tasks of seeking out, coordinating, marketing, and supporting educational opportunities within Lowell Makes to the Education Committee.
Check out all the fun educational opportunities we have here at Lowell Makes!

Currently, we are focusing on teaching opportunities for our members. If you are not a member, but would like to teach a class, please reach out to [email protected] with your idea, or JOIN our membership and follow the simplified instructions below.
Process for teaching a class (short version):
Instructor talks with shop captain to pin down timing, details, payment, etc.
Instructor completes form.
Shop Captain receives copy of form (Subject: "Lowell Makes Course Proposal for Review") via email.
Shop Captain clicks "Edit Response" button in email, fixes any errors, and completes the "Shop Captain Only" portion of the form, and resubmits.
EdCom receives the "final" copy of the form, reviews/edits, and clarifies.
Workshop is uploaded to Eventbrite
Workshop is added to our calendar, Facebook, and the Like Lowell calendar.
